Exhibition and Conference for SE Europe Environment Section – Waste Management and Recycling, Air 2022, IEC, Sofia / Postponed: seeSUSTAINtec 2021

Which waste management companies plan to extend their market in SE Europe?

Composting, waste-to-energy, recycling industrial, agriculture, construction and e-waste, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, modernization of waste collection sites - these are some of the priorities of the national programs for more sustainable and professional waste management in the countries of South-East Europe.

For 9th year in a row one event gives an opportunity to the internationally recognized companies to develop their network into the region and to interact with key industry players from SE Europe.
Taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria (27-29 March 2018), Save the Planet combines exhibition and conference in its format. ‘Bulgaria is facing numerous challenges in waste management – says the organizer Via Expo. ‘Our aim is to show how advanced technologies can turn waste into new valuable resources.’

Exhibitors from Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands have already joined the event.

Hitachi Zosen Inova is the leading provider for waste to energy solutions. The company manager Peter Chromec announces that some projects are planned in few Bulgarian cities to start next year.

The Finnish company Molok Oy is looking for distributors in Bulgaria. A cost-effective waste collection system will be presented in Sofia. It is a space saving, clean, safe and economical solution for waste collection.

ATI Environnement designs and manufactures incinerators for waste treatment and filtration system. The company is specialized in treatment of hospital, animal and industrial wastes.

Save the Planet will welcome in 2018 one of the German leading companies - Steinert GmbH. The company offers separation technology since 1889. ‘To sell secondary raw material, purity is the key.’ - notes Mr. Björn Lövenich (Area Sales Manager). ‘Our machines support to separate ferrous, non ferrous metals and other materials like plastics to create pure products.’ – adds he.

Euro Sitex will participate in Save the Planet for the first time. It is a provider of perforated sheets, wire conveyor belts and filters markets.

‘Waste treatment will be a main topic in the next years! According to the waste treatment targets of the EU Bulgaria will be of interest in the next future.’ - says Markus Maierhofer, Area Sales Manager at Komptech. The exhibiting company will promote mobile and stationary machines which find application in the fields of composting, fermentation, biomass treatment, mechanical and mechanical-biological waste treatment, processing of refuse-derived fuels, waste wood treatment.

The recycling process became more precision thank to innovations. The visitors’ interest will be attracted by the new equipment for sorting, shredding, washing dosing, re-granulation, compounding and extrusion presented by Gebrüder Paschev and the company business partners Vecoplan, Stf, MAS, Viscotec, Wipa, Trenso, etc.

Why Bulgaria?

The European Commission and the European Parliament have proposed ambitious EU-wide recycling targets as part of the Circular Economy Package. Bulgaria is an EU member state and the following indicative targets for reuse and recycling of waste by 2020 are set:

- The disposed biodegradable waste should be reduced to 35% and the amount of recycled waste should to increase to 50%.

- 70% of Construction and Demolition waste to be recycled.

Following the trend of replacing the ‘take, make, dispose' model with a ‘circular economy’ approach across Europe, Bulgaria will widely introduce eco-friendly solutions and practices in the coming years.

There is still time to join the event at www.viaexpo.com
