Interview with Ivan Kostadinov, Manager
Dear Mr. Kostadinov, tell us more about your solutions.
We provide a number of cutting-edge technological novelties:
-
OdorPrep – integrated system for continuous air quality monitoring and on-demand sampling of olfactory harassments, in compliance with EN 13725
-
PyxisGC BTEX - the first and unique gas chromatograph “carrier gas free” for BTEX monitoring in ambient air in compliance with EN14662-3:2015.
-
AirQino - a smart portable monitoring station for preliminary air quality monitoring and 2D air pollutants cartography in urban and industrial areas and many other innovative products addressed to cost-effective solutions to environmental problems.
What are the benefits of implementing these solutions in practice and in which areas do they apply?
The benefits of implementing these solutions come from the opportunity to provide representative and reliable high quality data in real-time and on-demand samples, allowing for a timely, objective and documented assessment of the air quality and odors, in order to enable authorities to intervene in solving environmental problems.
Do you have any partners / clients in SE Europe? Can you mention some of them?
Yes, together with our partners LabService Analytica Srl, Pollution Srl and TEA-Group Srl, we have already established mutual collaborations with several Bulgarian institutions and companies, e.g. with the Ministry of Environment and Water regarding a pilot deployment of the OdorPrep automatic on-demand air sampler, with Vang EOOD (Burgas), Technopol Security (Stara Zagora), Eco Consult Engineering (Burgas), аs well as with companies in other SE Europe countries e.g. Ikaros Labchem(Greece), ECM Ecomonitoring (Czech Republic), OMV Petrom (Rоmania), ALT- Ukraine (Ukrainе).

What do your development plans include?
We plan to make the innovative products we represent better known, to create new collaborations aimed at the effective mitigation of negative effects caused by air pollution and its impact on climate change. We strive to always be tuned in to the "hottest" environmental problems, adopting advanced scientific and technological solutions in order to guarantee the data quality of the monitored parameters, helping the local authorities establish data bases with regard to air quality, allowing for prompt actions to be taken by decision makers and subsequently resulting in the optimal management of territories of interest.
What do we need to change to achieve more sustainability?
The world around us is not a closed conservative system. The reality, in particular climate change, is an interference of many factors, which could be considered in terms of two main categories - natural and anthropogenic. In general, climate change is a process, which has been in progress since the formation of the Earth. The problem is how one understands the rapid climate change during the last decades. If humanity is able to accurately quantify the impact of the above categories on rapid climate change, it means that a lot of efforts and resources could be saved. To this end data quality plays a key role and therefore our efforts lie within the provision of reliable data in real time.
