Exhibition and Conference for SE Europe Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Section 2022, IEC, Sofia / Postponed: seeSUSTAINtec 2021

The LIFE programme will have a stand for the first time at the specialized three-day exhibition on Energy Efficiency & Renewables, Environment on 27 - 29 March. Please let us know what do you intend to present at the exhibition stand.  

The aim of the LIFE stand is two-fold:  
- To publicise the funding opportunities of LIFE
- Provide information on the good practices and solutions developed by LIFE in the sectors of sustainable energy and the circular economy.  

The programme will also participate with a panel in the 9th edition of the South-East European Conference on Environmental Technologies on 28 March. Please present in brief the Programme main targets & tools and their opportunities for application in the South-East European (SEE) Region. 

The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. The general objective of LIFE is to contribute to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and legislation by co-financing projects with European added value. Since 1992, the programme has co-financed more than 4500 projects. LIFE can be a useful tool to help the South-East European Region to achieve its   EU commitments and goals on environmental protection and fight against climate change.  

What will be the highlights and topic content of your participation in the South-East European Conference on 28 March?

In the SEE Conference, representatives from LIFE will present the programme's funding opportunities in order to promote it among the stakeholders of the South-East region. Our session is of interest to any actor from the energy and waste sectors interested in accessing LIFE funding.

Which are the target recipients of the LIFE-funded projects?  

Any organisation, public or private, legally established in the EU can apply for LIFE funds.
