Paola Mazzucchelli is Secretary General of the Association of European Renewable Energy Centres (EUREC), located in Brussels. The association aims at promoting and supporting the development of innovative technologies and human resources to enable a prompt transition to a sustainable energy system. Since 2015, she has been coordinating the secretariat of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling. Previously, she worked at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (Institute for Energy and Transport and Climate) on a project related to setting up hydrogen communities across Europe. She holds a M.A. degree in European Economics from the College of Europe (Belgium), along with a previous economic degree from the University of Pavia (Italy). She has been involved in several EU co-funded projects with a view to fostering research in renewable energies.
