Mohammed Youbi Idrissi is the Head of the Air Liquide’s R&D Life Science Group working on Cold Chain, Food & Pharma and Bio-Chemical applications of industrial gases. After graduating from the “Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble” and obtaining a Ph.D. degree from “Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers de Paris”, he worked in the “Institut Français du Froid Industriel” and IRSTEA, focusing on eco-design of vapour-compression refrigerating units and energy efficiency of heat exchangers. In Air Liquide, Mohammed managed and participated in projects on refrigerated transportation and cryogenic equipment for food processing and cold chain applications. He is an Air Liquide’s International Technical Community Leader, member of the International Institute of Refrigeration and the ‘CoolingEU’ forum, vice-president of the French Refrigeration Association and editorial board member of “La Revue Générale du Froid”. Author of over 30 patents and more than 40 publications on refrigeration and cryogenics, Mohammed also teach in engineering schools and universities in France on a regular basis.
