This lecture briefly presents the hot galvanizing process of steel and cast-iron parts.

Emphasizes the advantages, explains why this is a good choice as a reliable method for long-lasting anti-corrosion protection.

It examines the flow of the liquid phase itself, the thermodiffusion process of interaction between zinc and steel, the formation of the zinc protective coating microstructure. Compares the resistance to atmospheric corrosion depending on the exposure categories in different corrosive environments from C1 to C5, BDS EN ISO 14713.
