The lecture concerning the metal release gives insight in the methodology of material testing for the assessment of materials in contact with drinking water. It shows the reasons for the method proposed by the 4MS group. The other lecture shows that in most failure cases the application of existing knowledge would have prevented the failure completely.

Please acquaint the audience of ‘Corrosion Prevention Balkans’ with the latest researches on the release of heavy metals in the drinking water    

The method using test results from EN 15664-1 test rigs covers the short- and long-term behavior of metals and alloys in contact with drinking water. Specially for materials forming protective layers the long-term test will reveal the hygienic parameters needed for the assessment of the material.

Cathodic protection offers economic use of materials under corrosive conditions. The monitoring of the electrical data gives a clear view of the status of the protected construction.
