Call for Papers

Professionals in the elevators and escalators sector are invited to submit abstracts in English before October 31st , 2013, to participate in the LIFTBALKANS Seminar  with non-commercial paper. Abstracts are invited for the following

Topics:

1.Safety Rules and Security Solutions for Elevators and Escalators
2.Noise Prevention
3.Retrofitting of the Existing Lifts
4.The New Lift Directive
5.Technical Development in the Lift Industry
6.Elevators and Energy Efficiency
 
Abstract Submission Requirements:

1.Language: English
2.Presentation title
3.Topic number
4.Names of all the authors, organization, address and contact information (including e-mail)
5.Size: maximum of 500 words and no tables, figures and/or diagrams

Instructions:

1.Completed abstract forms must be received no later than October 31st, 2013.
2.Abstracts not conforming to the abstract submission requirements will not be forwarded for peer review.The presentation must not have a commercial character.
3.Each primary author must also submit a brief biography (max. 100 words) + photo with the abstract.
4.All participants must register for the Conference in order to be accepted as speakers, unless invited.
5.Notification of acceptance/rejection will be not later than January 15th, 2014.

  • Abstract submission: October 31st, 2013
  • Notification of acceptance/rejection: January 15th, 2014.
  • Full paper for proceedings only: January 30th 2014
  • Early bird registration: January 25th 2014
