LABORATORY FOR RESEARCH OF SOLID BIOFUELS, BIODEGRADABLE WASTES AND COMPOST

At the Smart Cities Conference and Exhibition, the Energy agency of Plovdiv will present its specialized Laboratory for research of solid biofuels, biodegradable wastes and compost equipped with new highly sensitive analytical equipment for analysis, research and expert activities in the field of solid biofuels, biodegradable wastes and compost.

The Laboratory is the first accredited specialized laboratory in solid biofuels, biodegradable wastes and compost in Bulgaria. It is accredited according to the international standard EN ISO/IEC 17025 and has a certificate of accreditation No 192 ЛИ/10.09.2016 valid until 04.01.2020.



The Laboratory is accredited to test solid biofuels (wood and non-wood pellets wood and non-wood briquettes, wood chips, firewood, forestry waste biomass, agricultural waste biomass as a feedstock for production of biofuels), firelighters for barbecueing, barbecue charcoal and barbecue charcoal briquettes, compost, treated biowaste (compost, fermentation product, organic fertilizer produced by composting and anaerobic digestion and stabilized organic fraction from MBT), sludge, soil, and waste.

The Laboratory takes samples of solid biofuels, sludge, compost and soil improvers.
