On February 21st the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City is awarded with the Cluster Management Excellence Label BRONZE – Striving for Cluster Excellence Cluster Management Excellence Label BRONZE – Striving for Cluster Excellence No BGR011201812C181103. At the end of 2018 the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City participated in a Cluster Management Benchmarking Exercise performed by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA). The European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI, www.clusterexcellence.eu) , a project co-financed by the DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission 2009-2012) developed quality indicators that resulted in an internationally recognised quality label for cluster management.

To continue the successful work of this pan-European initiative which involved 13 partners from nine European countries ESCA was established to offer practical advice to cluster management organizations. Today, ESCA is a network of cluster experts from more than 30 countries.You can find some further background information on ESCA and the ECEI label system on www.cluster-analysis.org.

The role of this granted to the Cluster Sofi Knowledge City label is to rize the attention of its members and partners on the high quality of work of the management of the cluster and enhance the confidence for their work. IThe BRONZE Label will be valid for next two years. If someone is interested on the benchmarking report he/she can order it to the cluster administration.
